Caring Neighbors
Located in the heart of the Sage Recreation Center (Fitness Center, across from the equipment), Caring Neighbors is your community support hub, committed to enriching the lives of Sun City Festival residents.

At Caring Neighbors, we provide a variety of essential services:
- Medical and Children’s Equipment: Available for reservation and checkout at no charge to residents, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Cyber Café Snack Basket: Operated by Caring Neighbors, with proceeds benefiting the repair and replacement of equipment. Open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
- Handmade Greeting Cards: Sold by the Caring Neighbors Office, with a homemade Sympathy or Get Well card sent to any resident in need of encouragement, crafted by the Paper Crafts & More Club.
We proudly sponsor several support groups and initiatives:
- Bereavement Group: Meets at the Senita Center in the Antelope Room on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
- Alzheimer’s Support Group: Held on the 2nd Monday of every month from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Oak Creek Canyon Room at the Senita Center. For more details, contact Pat Novacheck at 928-252-6741.
- Festival Cancer Support Network: Meets on the third Thursday of every month. For support, email neighborsscf@gmail.com.
We also collaborate with the Veteran’s Club to recruit volunteers for Benevilla, aiming to provide essential services like transportation to medical appointments for residents.
Additionally, we organize:
- Food Drives: Supporting St. Mary’s Food Bank in the Spring and The Salvation Army around the holidays.
- School Supplies Drive: Collecting donations for Festival Foothills Elementary at the start of the school year and supporting special needs throughout the year.
Coming soon are new support groups focusing on heart disease and pain/arthritis.
