Canadian-American Friendship Club (Can Am Club)

Welcome, eh and howdy! The Can Am Club is where maple leaves and stars and stripes come together for good times, laughter, and a dash of friendly competition. Here’s the scoop:

Our Mission: We’re all about fostering connections between our Canadian pals and our American buddies. Whether you say “aboot” or “about,” we’re here to bridge the gap with poutine and apple pie.

Seasonal Shenanigans: From November to April, we’re in full swing. (Pun intended—keep reading for golf details!) These chilly months are when we gather, share stories, and create memories that’ll warm our hearts long after the snow melts.

Events Galore: Our social calendar is as diverse as our membership. Check out some of our favorite happenings:

• Bowling Nights: We roll strikes, spares, and gutter balls with equal enthusiasm. Bonus points if you wear mismatched socks!
• Chili Cook-Offs: Spicy, savory, and sometimes downright fiery—our chili competitions are legendary. Who knew beans could inspire such passion?
• Bocce Ball Battles: On the grass, under the sun (or maybe a light dusting of snow), we channel our inner Italian nonnas and play bocce with gusto.
• Potluck Dinners: Bring your best dish, whether it’s Nanaimo bars or Aunt Mildred’s mac ‘n’ cheese. Sharing is caring!

• Bunco Nights: Dice, laughter, and a dash of luck. Our Bunco gatherings are a rollicking good time.
• Sports Pools: Fantasy leagues, March Madness brackets, and Super Bowl squares. We’re all winners (except when our team loses).
• Golf Extravaganzas: Swing away! Our golf outings include everything from the prestigious men’s and women’s Ryder Cup events to the delightfully quirky Flatstick putting competition. Remember, it’s not about the score—it’s about the banter and the joy of chasing that little white ball.
